Farmington Youth Lacrosse Association

Our registration is a two-part registration.  First, your player has to register with US Lacrosse.  This is our governing body but provides us with insurance and aspects of certification required to play Lacrosse.  Our registration process will momentarily ask you for their US Lacrosse number, so if you haven't registered there yet, click the link to the right here and register them up!

Click "Continue" below at which point we'll bring you through the registration process.  For your players, they will automatically be put on the right team based upon GENDER and BIRTHDATE so be sure to enter those correctly and we'll take care of the rest!  

Here's the latest scoop for the 2024 season:

Turf Practice will take place at Schmitz-Maki Arena mid-April through May 2 nights a week between 6:00 and 9:00pm. 

Practice schedule is subject to change once we move practices outdoors, and are held Monday - Thursday evenings. Outdoor practices are held on the front fields of the Farmington High School.

Games are scheduled by MSLAX for Girls teams and YLM for Boys teams. Game schedules are released at the end of May, and games begin in early June. These game schedules will be listed on each team's calendar as they are determined. Each team will also participate in a couple of weekend tournaments (TBD). The Boys season ends at the end of July.  The Girls season ends at the beginning of August.

Viking Goat: June 1-2nd
Prior Lake: June 28-30th
Jamboree (Boys 8U & 10U): July 20-21st
State (12U & 14U): July 27-28th
Northfield (Boys B Teams): May 18th

Game locations will be at the Farmington High School fields when played at home. Away game locations will be determined by other associations. You will be able to view all of this information on your team's tagged calendar. Also, your team manager/parent coach will be emailing and sharing this information.

Only new players or players that need a new size will need to purchase a uniform to wear at games and tournaments. This uniform can be used in future seasons unless your player outgrows it. Uniform fee is not included in registration.  Sample sizes and ordering will only be available at the Parent's Meeting.

Boys playing 8U will not need to purchase a uniform. 

Informational Parent Meeting for those who have registered will take March 11th - Girls from 6-7, Boys 7-8 at Farmington High School. More details to come.

Girls Legal Eye Protection:
USA Lacrosse has rules regarding legal eye wear. To search the list of SEI approved lacrosse eye wear, please go to https://www.seinet.org/search.htm, scroll down to USA Lacrosse and click Eye and Face Protect (Sports). Note that if the SEI mark is not there, it is not SEI certified.

Boys Chest Protectors:
USA Lacrosse has rules regarding chest protectors. To search the list of SEI/NOCSAE approved lacrosse chest protectors, please go to https://www.seinet.org/search.htm. Scroll down to USA Lacrosse, then to Protector for Commotio Cordis (Lacrosse). Note that if the NOCSAE mark is not there, it is not SEI/NOCSAE certified.
